Duane Elgin wants to show that the universe is a living field of existence, and that we are always in communion with a field of aliveness whether we are conscious of it or not. Throughout this lecture, Elgin explains his belief that in a living system, each part is integral to the whole, so each entity is intimately connected to the entire universe. To him, creation is not something that happened with the Big Bang. Instead, creation is consistently forming around us from a deeper abyss. The universe’s existence is brought moment by moment through this continuous, moving process.
